Prescott denies calling Bush crap
Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott has denied saying the Bush administration had been "crap" on the Middle East road map - the plan for peace in the region.
Labour MP Harry Cohen said the remark came during a private meeting on Tuesday with fellow Labour MPs.

We all know that you're 'in charge' of the UK John (ohhh....please....) now shut up and go drive in one of your Jags to play a game of croquet....real working class hero that you are. :wall:

He's right though. In a way, I've always had an admiration for John Prescott - he's an absolutely terrible politician because he can't help saying what he thinks.
Mr Cohen said he believed Mr Prescott's comment had been "an honest and good point well made".
I agree.

yeah, all well and good, but before we all go down on our knees before honest John how about he gets honest about something he can do something about, like the government urinating billions of pounds of our money up the wall with no improvement in public sevices, instead of pimp slapping Dubba which is not going to do me or anyone else any good.
Even if the comment was true its cheap.
Besides, Prezza's probably still upset about that trip to the USA when the most important person they let him meet was the assistant head of parking enforcement in Washington, and he was wandering about the streets telling strangers that he was the deputy prime minister.
You know all this stuff about him failing his eleven plus and not getting his bicycle. Well, call me catty, but it just shows the eleven plus got it right some times doesn't it?

He still got to be deputy prime minister ! How does that kind of thing happen anyway?? I mean, there are many better looking, better educated and smarter people in the UK than Prezza and , despite it all, he has risen so high. I mean, why do people vote for him? Comedy value?
Its not like he's every been that popular and he's been the victim of so many publicty stunts(remember Chumbawumba). Maybe its sympathy or nostalgia, since he is one of the only Cabinet ministers with a genuine northern accent.

I guess it shows you don't need to be clever to be a politician.
In fact though Prezza surely owes his job to the fact that he is dim. Tony needed a real working class lad by his side to draw attention from the fact that he is a public school educated [rhymes with merchant banker], and all the real lefties saw him coming and told him to stick it. Enter John with his chip on his shoulder about being a failure, and the rest is history.
After all, what has John actually acheived as a result of his lofty position? Nothing. And as politics is about the exercise of power that tells us all we need to know about hism.

Prezza regains his popularity with the British public, I'm sure, with these comments. As to how'd he ever get elected -- well, his constituency is in HULL isn't it??

Yep Hull - as in will vote Tory round about the time hell freezes over. Officially it's the worst town in England and the most obese. Now do you see why they voted for John.
