Allright, I just got the game but are unable to play it actually.

Everytime I start a campaign, pick a country and press 'start campaign' I get the load screen.

When the bar is completely red I get a black screen for a second, then the game menu for a second and then it all crashes :help: ........What can I do about this?????

btw: I did patch the game with the 1.1 patch:

(and is there a simpel way to take screenies?)

You ll have to roll back your Graphics Card to an earlier version. This just happened to me...

A lot of changes have occured since the 1.1 came out and some of the newer drivers aren t compatible.

Start with the Graphics card and see how that goes.

So, how do I do that? I never patched my video card in any way....

Nvidia card? Force Anti-aliasing to be set to x2 before loading the campaign. Should (hopefully) fix the crash issue. If you have a more recent Nvidia card 6xxx or 7xxxx series, I wouldn't roll back the drivers because the drivers that work with MTW won't be optimised for your card, possibly as your card wasn't even out then.

This is the third time I've replied to this crash issue in the space of about 10 days. Might as well have a big blinking sticky topic saying, 'Game crashes when loading Campaign map? CLICK HERE!!!' if there isn't one already, as people apparently can't find the threads for themselves.

Click F2 ingame and pics will be saved to the TGAs folder in the Medieval - Total War directory. USe UltimatePaint to open these and save them as JPEGs.
