not knowing what the requirements for M2tw, my educated guess would be probably not. If it indeed does, I doubt it would run well. The main problem with the setup is the 512 mb of ram. That's just not a good number for newer games.

well a gig is definitely better than 512. i'd just wait for the release and upgrade then. the ram will be cheaper and the official min requirements will be out. what kind of graphics card do you have on the lappy?

I can't run RTW, but I still do, Everything is good except graphics, but hey I don't mind no seeing in clarity, when it would cost me a good bit.

Well my computer has an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900. I can just about run RTW with it, but it is painful, especially with just 256 MB RAM. Managed to get a 30 minute end turn on the EB mod. I'm going to buy the GeForce 7600 GT Graphics Card, and 2 GB RAM. Those settings would run RTW smoothly, and CA say that if your computer runs RTW, it will run M2TW. To be honest, 1 GB RAM would do, I just got the 2 GB as part of a deal.
You could check my little guide to buying components in the Hardware and Software Forums here, so far I've only covered Graphics Cards.

When you get your computer, check out these sites:
System Requirements Lab (http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srl) (It doesn't have M2:TW listed as a game yet, but should soon)
Windows Game Advisor (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/games/gameadvisor/default.mspx) (You will need to be using a IE6 browser)
Both sites will require you to download an ActiveX component (it is safe and confidential, and you can remove it easily) and then they will scan your hardware and see how it stands up with the minimum and recommended specifications given by the game company. The report is very thorough and helpful.
Here is a sample report from System Requirements Lab on how my PC would run R:TW:

And the details:

Note how this report was how my system compared to the minimum requirements, you also have the option to compare your system with the recommended requirements.
