Well done.
No test? Remind me not to go driving in Texas any time soon.

Test or no test, if SFTS is driving around anywhere, that is a place the Corleone family will avoid. :laugh4: Just kiddin, congrats man!

The test is a joke anyhow...at least when I took it. Never went faster than 25, never saw another car, failed the first time because I didn't "turn on my indicator 100 feet before the intersection".

I failed to sufficiently yield at a yield sign.
Congratulations SFTS, I still remember the first time I got to drive by myself, just like I remember my first speeding ticket, first accident, first suspension,
~:thumb: good luck

Hmm...you wasted six months of your life on Drivers Education...
Ah well. Congrats. I won't be getting that 'til 18 at the earliest. No Drivers Ed for me; no wasting time for insane overly ambitious bookworms!
(It's mandatory for anyone under 18 who wants a driver's license in my state to waste time in those classes to even have a chance to test. Gah.)

Driving test...
The only exam I ever failed :embarassed:
And I did not fail once, but twice :embarassed:
But still, I'm an excellent driver

I am never going anywhere near a road in Tejas...
Congratulations! I guess....
Vermont has pretty strict rules when it comes to getting your license, and I passed with no points off at the beginning of the summer! But the test isn't really that bad, we skipped parallel parking for some reason...

LOL, don't feel bad, man. I failed mine too the first time. They said I drove too fast and didn't like the fact that I prefered turning my head when backing up instead using the tiny rearview mirror. I consider myself a safe driver. Not a particularly good driver, but safe nonetheless.

Can you eat armadillo roadkill?
No test? Lucky you.
Only sure-fire way to pass here is to be a pretty girl with a short skirt.
I did my test in Cardiff in the last three weeks of university. There was only time to do it once since I was leaving GB and I really wanted to avoid doing the test in Switzerland for all sorts of reasons.
Suffice to say, my last three weeks in Cymru were spent with exam after exam, lots of gaming, driving lessons and desperately trying to finsh my dissertation (although I am unsure whether 'desparate' is really the most adequate word to use here since I really only finished on the day of hand-in - unbound!).
Glad to say that I made it the first time (I think I had something like 6 out of 15 minor errors in the actual driving test and one or two in the written one).
After registering back in Switzerland I had one year to change my GB licence to a Swiss one. Needless to say, I missed the deadline. However, since they needed an official document (ANY official document) as proof that I had not been staying for more than one year registered in Switzerland, I simply produced my army ID. After a little sweet talk to the police lady all was well and I was able to change my licence and hence avoid the test in here.

Still need to wait two more years before being able to start the hugely expensive driving lessons here in Holland.
I could get one in the US I think, although I've heard that the rules here are that you have to do another test in Holland anyway, so I might as well simply get the test here and just pratice in the US.

There's a reason American driving licences aren't valid in the rest of the world (apart from the Atlantic being too deep to drive through, even in a Hummer...)
I hate to admit this, but I took seven attempts to pass my test, then when I moved to another jurisdiction, took too long to swap my licence and had to do the test AGAIN (but with a few years' experience passed that one first time :2thumbsup: ). Coming back to the UK first thing I did was swap my licence back!!
You may laugh at the 7 attempts, but 20+ years on the road I still don't know the thrill of a first accident (but I have been got by "safety" cameras once, but i swear there were conflicting speed limits along that stretch of road).

I feel safer with SFTS’s youthful eyes and reaction times driving around than I do the 90 year old grandma with glaucoma who also didn’t need to take the test. ~D

You are directly insulting STFS.
You're making him an armadillo! :inquisitive:
And I'm definitely not a cannibal! :laugh4:
