Sorry for being a bit inquisitive but why is Kart-Hadast (Carthage) so downgraded: no sewers, no learning facilities and no trader......wtf??? :inquisitive: Am I missing something here? One of the most splendid cities in its era has no sanitation and no school, academy etc. One of the strongest trading empires in history has a capitol city with no trader in it??? Please enlighten me I do not grasp this.:shame:

Making sure the cities are totally fixed with their buildings hasn't been a high priority, but I'd say that if Carthage is missing any trade building, then it's probably because we tried to place it with scripts instead of in descr_strat.txt (sometimes they just refuse to show up correctly if we do that) and it got lost in route. That would be too big of a mistake otherwise I think.
We've still never figured out why some buildings placed with descr_strat.txt just refuse to show up as the right culture. Sometimes you can put a trader in carthage (for example) and it will say "Chrematistes (Greek Culture)" and show the greek image instead - just like it was a greek city, captured by carthage. Very weird. We have tested and tried and tested and tried and the only thing we can do is just place it by scripts instead, which works, but it's harder to keep track of what building goes in script placement and what one goes in descr_strat.txt. Very strange indeed.

Nice to see we agree on the problem and that efforts are being made to correct this.
IMHO every capitol should have some basic building of every type while some are located in a more historically correct location like Ptolemies capitol is Memphis while their learning centre is in Alexandreia.
I´m not familirized with the Carthaginian army line up but I find it strange that they can´t produce long range missile troops like slingers etc. but maybee they didn´t use them much, just inf and cav. Any enlightenment on that front guys?
(Sidenote: may I also point out that while the Romani start out with three spies and one diplomat the Karthadastim has only one diplomat and no spies. They should atleast have more diplos to reflect their trading/ peace´n´prosperity attitude AND like A.S start out with established traderoutes in a fair extent. And that goes for every faction which should have, atleast, relations and or trade with their neighbours, right?)

I would also say if someone doesn't think the start situation is good for a faction, that they complain and say also "who is the faction coordinator for X? why do they let faction X only have one diplomat when they cover so large an area, etc., etc.? Sometimes there are people that we need to point fingers at after all.

Some of the romani spies should theoratically be killed by script at campaign start. They are just there to increase the known area of the map for the romani. A feature that isn't fully implemented now.

So what we need is a list, and then a handy wall to prop them up against... hmmm
;)
Is there a handy list of "the parties responsible" anywhere? Or are these people prudently keeping a low profile? :)

We like to keep a low-profile.

Damn.
There is a list, I don't know why we don't release it. I've asked for it to be released for a long time, but no-one in charge ever gets round to doing it. I want respect, goddamnit!

I think we just need to have Kull make a new thread and post his list so he can keep it updated. I don't want to start a thread off with my active/inactive list when Kull's list would replace it anyway and since he should have the first post too so he can update it.
