Cannot start a new campaign

I recently wanted to get back into play RTW and tried to today. Well I can't start a new Imperial Campaign at all. I can load saved games just fine but not start a new one.

I do remember doing some modding to a few files but can't remember exactly what I did (this was about a year ago), can't find the backup files on my computer, and can't find the RTW CD's. I can find the RTW: BI one but not the original RTW.

Is there a group of files I can download to replace all the ones I could have potentially screwed up? Don't really care if I lose my saved games, I just want to start a new campaign again!

Just updated it from version 1.1 to 1.5, didn't help.

Edit: Found some backup files here and replaced the four main txt files in the Imperial Campaign folder. Still doesn't work.

1) You have my sympathy for loosing the disk, but how could you have been so.......intelligent to loose the most important part of a game.

2) Perhaps it has something to do with the relationship with Export_Descr_units and Descr_strat. If, lets say (I had this probelm) the rebels at the start have cretan archers on Kydonia. I made rebels incapable of having them in the "ownership" section and thus couldn't start a campaign. Perhaps you should check them. If you need any more orriginal files PM me with your e-mail.

Remember, respect you games. The CD, the Manuals, the box must all be respected. They're the only thing keeping you from loosing your sanity in this world.

REplace ALL the txt files, this can be helpfull

I know this was probably the first thing you looked at, but did you delete the map.rwm file for the imperial campaign? I don't know its behavior after patching, but it would explain why the saved games worked (I think) and why no new game would work.

Note---This is only an idea, hopefully someone more informed will come along.
