Turning of and on the script makes the year kick back loads of years

I had consistent problems with CTD on a move when selucius moves troops from pergamn,so I read that if you turn of the script then press turn and then turn on script again you will go around the problem. All of this is done in the year 112bc,I then turn off the script and press turn and all works just fin....but the problem is that it just has sett back the time to 147 bc.
Is there any way to sett the time back to 112bc again?
