multi installs

quick question
does anyone know where the guide is to do multi installs on the same computer?

I remember it, but I can't find it right now. Is it really necessary though? Simply copying the entire RTW directory somewhere else has always worked for me, between RTW and MTW I have about 8 installations right now, works fine.
