INSTALLATION:
Make sure you got a clean BI 1.6 installation, eventually make a backup of it.
Unpack the whole file. You must use WinRar to do so.
You can download WinRar here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Open the "ArthurianTW" folder.
Select the files inside the folder, copy them, and paste them in your Rome - Total War directory.
Then make a shortcut. Select RomeTW-BI shortcut, copy it and paste the shortcut on your desktop.
It is highly advised to use some commands to help find errors.
The most important one is -show_err. Right click on your shortcut, select properties, you will see the target of the shortcut. Add -show_err at the end of the target.
Make sure you will launch the game with the shortcut.

IIRC the ATW installation activates RTW's Minimal UI feature, making the interface more like MTW. You can speed up the battles with the shortcut Ctrl-T, which is the equivalent of the fastest mode in the main UI.
BTW, if you want the default UI back, go to the bi/preferences subdirectory of your ATW installaion, open preferences.txt, scroll down to MINIMAL_UI:TRUE, and change it to FALSE.
Hope that helps, and glad you're enjoying the mod.

Would this mod work on RTW 1.5 without modification? I mean work as in load, battles work, campaign works, but not the BI features like swim and all.

I'm not absolutely certain, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't, sorry. It's really build upon BI (the faction slots, building tree etc.) and the directory structure of the installation overwrites BI. Sorry about that.
Antagonist
No it won't, BI 1.6 is needed.
Hey guys, im new to the org, though not through my lack of trying to join up lol! Anyways, ive really been liking the look of this mod, cant wait to install it and play!!!

Why on earth there are no more topics about this?
I am no expert in British history, but at least it feels that this is the most historically accurate portrait of Britannian wars during the true dark ages, 400-700 AD. Never seen that detailed and huge playable map of ancient Britannia in any game. Ireland is also a large battlefield. All the reworked units and with new names seems damn imperssive.
What was more surprising that mod is 0.6, but relatively bug free. Unfotunately, I can't continue my Angles campaign since it's always CTD during Dal Riada turn in summer of 503 AD.
I can imagine that if this mod reaches 1.0, it will be easily one of the best mods in RTW and certainly the best and with BI. Arthurian TW is for me the same improvment over BI as 'Europa Barbarorum' and 'Rome Total Realism' are over RTW. Absolutely brilliant mod!
Protection error issue can be solved by downloading the dump file, see here:

Thanks for you feedback :2thumbsup:
And for reporting this CTD... we were hoping 0.6 was CTD free, we got lot of issues with 0.62 patch, and I hope everything will be right for the upcoming 0.7 version!

Unfortunately there are still several CTD issues in the current version, though most of them have been ironed out and solutions have been posted for some.
What exactly is your issue? You might want to have a look at the various sticky threads in ATW's public forum (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=107) at TWC.
In particular, are you getting CTD's at a certain year in the campaign, while performing certain actions, or just on loading/at the main menu?
Thanks, and stay tuned for further updates,

thank you i will take a look at the threads you reccomended.
and the CTD's seem to be quite random at the moment but i have not played enough to form a pattern.
also when is the next update due?
Antagonist

I can't give you a specific date since I don't know, but progress is being made. I'm sure if another problem is discovered and/or fixed, the team could issue a "hotfix" but the next proper update is taking a bit longer because it will be fairly feature-rich. Some new gameplay features, new buildings and quite a few new units are being prepared. Historical Battles are also a big part of ATW and hopefully quite a few new ones will be included also.

EDIT: Check out this thread (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=64521) for a little sneak peek at a few of the new units you can expect in 0.7.

this mod is getting on my nerves. My game starts with -20000 and now finally I am out of debt. so far still at war with saxons. Can't seems to crush them easely.

You can easily raise cash at the beginning by doing peace-for-money deals with whomever you are at war.
As for the Saxons.... let's just say that they get some behind the scenes help with recruitment.
Great mod btw, but how to uninstall it? When using Add/Remove Programs it says it cant find the module..
If i simply deletes the folder and everything in it, i cant reinstall BI

Unfortunately, ATW is one of those mods that doesn't use the mod- switch. So if you didn't make copies of your RTW/data and RTW/bi/data folders prior to installing, the only way to uninstall is to delete your entire RTW installation and install it again.
