...Whom did you think it was ?

Rough translation of lyrics:

"I can't control myself
I'm very angry
Don't make fun with me, friends,
I'm somehow mad today

(X2)

If only you knew how it feels,
That one day you go mad as well,
People are all strange,
You should see the world like that

(X2)

I can't control myself
I think I've gone mad
I'm talking strangely
I'm in a situation that you can't recognize me.

I can't control myself
I'm very angry
Don't make fun with me, friends,
I'm somehow mad today

I can't control myself
I think I've gone mad
I'm talking strangely
I'm in a situation that you can't recognize me.

I can't control myself
I'm very angry
Don't make fun with me, friends,
I'm somehow mad today

If only you knew how it feels,
That one day you go mad as well,
People are all strange,
You should see the world like that"

Should I add [/sarcasm] or..cultural differences again?

I always thought the Americans did that. Rock and Roll has to be one of the greatest cultural fenomenons ever. It is a mix of Blues, Swing and sometimes Country, thus erly Rock & Roll is the one of the greatest American contribyutions to the world. Odd find, though.

Must've blown rite past said sarcasm note. I think Chuch Berry invented Rock & Roll. You can never go wrong with Chuck Berry.
Strike: It was mostly the Black Southern Americans. They were from the Sowth but came to Chicago and signed to Chess Records. They incorporated the Modern Jazz Tempo into Blues music.

I thought you said the Armenians did that for a moment :dizzy2:

Yes, because there are so many Black Armenians. Hehe, that would be very funny if someone else sed that and I read it.

Eastern humour has as of now officially been weighted, measured, and found wanting.

Gençkan has our bodies and souls. Who's Tarkan to be mentioned here ?

Gençkan has our bodies and souls. Who's Tarkan to be mentioned here ? You just killed my favourite stereotype: All Turks love Tarkan. ~:mecry:

Hey, how old is that Gençkan track?

I didn't even watch the clip. Don't plan to either.

First of all, the video was shot for serious. It is no "let's make a prank video" stuff.

Secondly, that should be taken around late 80's or early 90's. I predict so due to the quality level of the video shot and the sheer heavy metal influence (..well at least he tried to dress so..ahem..)

He's not known at all today. He's just an urban hero after being discovered lately through this video on Youtube.

His very envied talent is the ability to get electro guitar sound from a classic one. His oversized leather jacket and killer looks follow after.

Tarkan? Well he is a popstar indeed. Many of the best tracks contributed to Turkish pop music are signed by his voice. His "Karma" album was a throughout lecture about how far quality a pop album can reach.
