Hello everyone.
I am new to the forums and to the Total War games. I started reading some of the Rome guides but the tables don't display correctly. It is hard to make heads or tails out of the info presented.
The one I am referring to specifically is "On the Feeding and Breeding of Generals".
I have tried Mozilla and Internet Explorer; both looked the same.
Is there any way to have the tables display correctly?
Thanks,
Jim

Good spot. The table tag was changed a while back, from [table] to [table=]. The writers of the guide or the Mods need to add the equals sign within the tag, e.g. from [table 1 3 0] to [table=1 3 0].

All hail kekvitirae :bow:Amen.
One small thing I forgot to mention: the way the new table tag deals with spaces between the table tag and the first data line of the table changed with version of the table tag Tosa hacked up for this version of vB. This is why all the tables appear to have a superfluous row at the top. It's just a cosmetic thing, although I suppose it may affect the readability of some of the more complex tables.
A small example from Froggie's guide:
Current table:
% Increase from dirt
=Dirt|=Roads|=Paved|=Highways
-|44.4%|88.9%|122.2%
-|42.9%|71.4%|114.3%
-|20.0%|60.0%|100.0%
-|50.0%|83.3%|116.7%
Corrected table:
% Increase from dirt
=Dirt|=Roads|=Paved|=Highways
-|44.4%|88.9%|122.2%
-|42.9%|71.4%|114.3%
-|20.0%|60.0%|100.0%
-|50.0%|83.3%|116.7%
Difference in code:
Old:
% Increase from dirt
=Dirt|=Roads|=Paved|=Highways
-|44.4%|88.9%|122.2%
-|42.9%|71.4%|114.3%
-|20.0%|60.0%|100.0%
-|50.0%|83.3%|116.7%
New:
% Increase from dirt
=Dirt|=Roads|=Paved|=Highways
-|44.4%|88.9%|122.2%
-|42.9%|71.4%|114.3%
-|20.0%|60.0%|100.0%
-|50.0%|83.3%|116.7%
Mea culpa. :embarassed:

It's really a negilible change, but I'll work on it when I'm not dead tired from college. The only part about Massage Therapy is the Anatomy and Kinesiology classes :sadg:
