Is it possible that my RTW was already patched to 1.5 when I bought it?

Is this some sort of bug? When I goto the main menu it says I have v1.5 on the top right corner. How come this be when I haven't installed the patch yet?!
Maybe its the previous install of my patch that hasn't gone and decided to stick around? (I reinstalled the game and patch more than 5 times)

If the patch is already included in the cd why didn't SEGA say anything about it? It would have saved me all the trouble of installing 1.3 and 1.5 which I believe really messed up my game (hence why I had to reinstall the game more than 5 times!!!)

What did you buy, Rome TW or Rome TW Gold? I've heard some versions of Gold came with the 1.5 patch included in the installation.

@ Mr. Durian: I think there are some versions already patched to 1.5. I bought my version of R: TW in mid-2005. I tried to install RTR Platinum 2 months ago and did the whole routine (like U about 5 times). Not working...CTDs all the time.:furious3: Then i just installed my vanilla version and RTR over it...BINGO...RTR Platinum working flawlessly. ~:cheers:
