Problem installing C&C Generals..

Ok, so I picked the rusty pack off the shelf and went to install it..

It kept giving me an error that a certain file can't be achieved, and that I should verify if it is there.. (It would be a file that it just installed, like for instance textures.big. I'd go and check if it is in the destination folder, and I find it..).

Anyway, I keep hitting retry with no use. Then, when I cancel, it gives me this error:


Feature transfer error

Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation.

Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.

Any idea would be helpful..

P.S. I made an image of the CD incase it was "damaged". There has been some bad sectors in the CD, but the image creator managed to get over them.. (With the speed of 7 KB/s).

The trick is to throw the cd on the floor and grind it with your foot. Generals sucks. Sorry I can't help you, but my aproach will save you the pain
