This may have been asked before and if it has, my apologies.
Anyway, my problem is this: It's my turn to play some years in a cooperative Julii campaign (check it out at the Throne Room), so obviously screenshots are desired. But when I go to take them, I realize that my legionnaires have limbs that look like cones!
This looks ridiculous seeing as how they have no hands or feet, not to mention seeing them use their weapons look awful.
Just some technical info: These are Roman infantry troops, patched to 1.5. The soldiers are whole for BI and RTR. Anyone know how to fix this? Many thanks.

Are unit shaders turned off? I think that sometimes causes this. Turn them back on and your soldiers should get their appendages back.
Very odd. This is something one sees very often on low-performance machines because the engine changes models to limit the poly count. I'm assuming this isn't your issue, since the soldiers are whole in BI/RTR. Very odd indeed.
As Napoleon said, you might try shaders. More generally, try mucking about with high-performance graphics settings. My guess is that for some reason your vidcard is getting lost in translation for 1.5 and the engine is compensating by keeping all your graphics settings but limiting the polys with this pointy-leg thing.
Sorry I can't be more specific.
I think you are right Tamur.

But BI/RTR have there own prefences.txt thats counting on you've installed RTR into a new rome total war folder. so look at the graphic settings.

if your unit detail is set to lowest then turn it up to at least low or put unit shaders.
or both.

What I'm thinking of doing is just having the first half of my write-up be pictureless. They will gradually added when I find the time to refight the battles (and there are plenty). :2thumbsup:

Apart from the close ups...pointy limb pictures should be used if you still have them? Better than nothing and they show the strategy. Will save time and allow the game to move on that little bit quicker.
