Green arrows under selected units

Hey all,

One of the things I didn't really like about RTW were the bright green arrows under each of your selected troops. They were just too...bright and green and kind of detracted from the realism on the battlefield (the wobbling flags above the units in MTW weren't very realistic either but at least they fitted more into the medieval theme and overall colour scheme). I saw on screenshots that the arrows will be back for M2TW.

Now I was wondering if there were any small mods for RTW that easily removed the green arrows from the game and if there's a chance they'll be back for M2TW.

(This question will look rather stupid when someone tells me there was an option in the options menu to remove the arrows, but oh well :laugh4: )

I’ll direct you to Froggbeasteggs beginners guide.

There is a section near the start that details minor “mods” that the individual can do as they are very simple and these include the removal of the really annoying arrows as well as other wonderful improvements/refinements.

So, not a really stupid question and a very easy thing to do.

Just go to preferences.txt, and change DISABLE_ARROW_MARKERS: FALSE to TRUE ;)

You can also get rid of the bobbing banners in preferences.txt, and you can remove the grass altogether for better framerate and enable the minimal UI.

It should be because if you look at STW then MTW they have the same file system, Same for RTW, BI and Alexander.:2thumbsup:
