k, I uninstall and Re-install STW Gold Editon (STW/MI) on my comp.. I want to play some STW games and I know the Fake Server been shut down. can someone give me a step by step process for this, since I love to play STW :-)

Step 1:
You need to change your internet.cfg file in the main Shogun folder to this:


ChatserverIPAddress = shogun-fakeserver.dnsdojo.org
ChatserverPort = 8793
NewsserverIPAddress = daphne.eagames.co.uk
NewsserverPort = 8797
ShogunTotalWarWebsite = www.totalwar.com

Step 2:
Enter the Multiplayer Menu. Then click "PLAY ON EA/PLAY".
You don't have to enter your CD code or a password. I don't know what happens when you log in without entering a name.

so I just do that, and enter a name, without a password/CD key??

That's correct.
As the fakeserver is no official server, hence the "fake", no validation of an EA registration takes place.
CD key and password are irrelevant.
