View Full Version : Some gameplay bugs with the SPQR mod.

I've been playing the SPQR mod for some days now, and I'm expereiencing some annoying gameplay bugs that keep reoccurring.

-Cavalry often doesn't use their spears while charging, so the charge has next to no effect
-Units (most often cavalry) keep getting split apart in 2 or more groups, and thus are unable to fulfill several orders (marching to a specific point for example).
-Sometimes only like half of a unit (again, most often cavalry), doesn't obey orders. (For example, if I order them to attack an enemy, half of the unit will attack, the other half will just stay where they are, and there's nothing you can do to get them to move again)
-Sometimes fire-at-will doesn't work (enemy is in range, missile units don't do anything).

Anyone know of any possible fixes for these bugs?
Thanks in advance.

I have that problem sometimes even in vanilla - though only when on huge unit settings though - and i usually get it on missile cavalry when i order them to charge

i like to think it adds some realism - thoughs soldiers are just idiots, or cowards :furious3: j/k

Never had that bug in vanilla, but if it's indeed caused by the huge unit settings then that's probably why (I never play vanilla on huge settings)

Experienced a quite funny variant of that bug today:

Deployed a unit of Velites on the wall, and after pressing the start battle button, about half of the unit was walking in front of the walls...
When an enemy ladder reached the wall, they walked towards it, climbed it, and rejoined their unit :laugh4:
