The tokowaga ( i can't spell) conqured Japan, why can't we choose that clan in total war?

I don't think so because oda was destroyed. Was it just newly created or something?

Tokugawa Ieyasu is who you are referring to. In the game he is an heir to the Imagawa clan b/c before Imagawa Yoshimoto was killed his clan (Matsudaira) were vassals to the Imagawa.
