How do I remove non combatant peasants (ie which files to edit)?

You can remove them from EDU, but I fear that may cause a crash if the game looks for them to add them to towns in the town view mode.

May I ask what you're trying to do?

Well, I wanted to remove them so that I could add more units instead. I'm not sure but I think I heard that rtr did the same thing.

We did. But we also had to change all the references to them. WHich meant editing the city view stuff so it used military units instead.
