Infinity: The Quest for Earth. (http://www.fl-tw.com/Infinity/infinity_overview.php)

:wideeyed:

The only hitch is that you can't walk around (or fight, etc.) on planets and stations, but admittedly that would be absurd given the rest of the game, as well as cause me to soil myself in several different ways.

All from ingame.

Also, this game will not be reaeased for a WHILE. Luckily, the Devs seem dedicated, and they seem to be keeping up well with their own deadlines.

Looks nice, but it's one of those games that will never get finished.

Looks nice, but I'm not going to play it, a lot of people likely aren't.

Looks aren't everything, and the direction that the game has taken, the multiplayer direction, is not one that even remotely attracts me. Like most MMOGs, it will likely be shallow and lack a true story, which tends to be the only thing that keeps me with a game for more than an hour.

:stare:

If you read around some more, you will find that it will come with a single-player version. And the developers have been working hard for the past year, and as I said before, they seem to have a very good track record of getting things done, as well as being responsive to the fanbase. They are already around 50% complete.

Also, there is a storyline, which is the whole point- to find Earth.

Then I really need to learn to read more thoroughly. :embarassed:

I kinda stopped at the MMO part and quit immiediately ... bad past experiences.

It certainly looks interesting. Only time will tell it offers more than pretty graphics and an immense gameworld (which I admit appeals to me). Thanks Zorba; I'll probably keep an eye on this one. ~:)

I kinda enjoyed Freelancer, although, tbh, the singleplayer mission was nice to play for the first time, but I found it a bit short, and I never played it a second time. I'm pretty sure that if this is decently bug-free, there will be plenty of community-mods to spice it up when it gets old or too boring to play the vanilla version...

I like big gameworlds, not too crazy about graphics though. We'll see, thanks for the heads-up.
