Apologies if these issues have come up before:
1) Why are Rome and Carthage not allies at the start of play in 272 BC?
2) Were starting faction leaders chose according to influence as opposed to historical accuracy? Manius Denatus was probably the most influencial former Consul in 272 BC but was definately not elected that year and I believe last office held was Censor in 273.
3) In .80 will Consulships and other elections take place at the proper times?

If those elections are not linked with the existence of the senate faction, well, it would be great to have the cursus honorum back!

what do u mean have it back? there are elections in both 1.2 and 1.4 ... I just want to know if they will be set at their proper times, and if I will always have two Consuls, instead of just sometimes..

Remember the message of "the senate has appointed the new charges for this period" and then they are displayed on the "Senate Offices" screen?
I haven`t seen that in the mods that have Unified Rome, save for Rome`s campaign in Darthmod...

EB has offices. It appears as a trait, though a particular office might no be held by a family member. If that's the case then just imagine someone that you can't control is holding the office.

It also occurs in RTR, but that will be because the RTR team didn't use the Brutii, Scipii or Senate faction slots for a different faction like EB does.

Theres no question of the offices being in EB, that's a fact--if anything Id like to look into an expansion of offices and Romani traits and ancilliaries in the future in general.
For now though, Im concerned about the triggers for the offices held by family members, and what seems to be some discrepancies in the awarding of Consulships.
