"Shields and weapons are now separate from the unit model file itself. This allows us to simply edit a text file to change what shield type/weapons are available to a particular unit."

Hey this should make simple modding quite alot simpler

Yes this movie looks awesome and is another reason to buy the game. No longer do seiges look like 150 v 150 men. I like seeing tons of men, multiple walls, and they mentioned in video artillery towers, so now at least my castles won't have to just sit and get hit all day long. :)

It looks awesome, now if only I had......some sort of way to battle......as if some form of media to sample the game could be made.............like a demo cd or download lol i'll keep hoping Viva the Demo :) (anyone know how to say demo in spainish?) :P

that was brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

towns were amazing, i just hope they made the camera so it can go alot higher than the walls because it rtw it very annyoing when you had a huge wall and your camera was squashed up against it

Meh looks good

Only, did anyone notice how awfully empty the besieged cities on the campaign map were, again this time around?

awesome, i just spent my time looking at 145 M2 photo images

from a campaign point of view, look's good but i hope they've improved the ports to be more than an ugly looking wooden square on the map like in rtw

Certainly does look like a mighty task to take a large fortress! Even with all the firepower available.

Hmmm......hoping that you can mod out those unit flags as easily as you can in Rome (and the green-base arrows).

Catching up on the other vids as I type.

Well certainly an impressive game but...

1) will need a completely new PC to run it
2) too many game play issues will remain unresolved until after the release.

so, I'm not getting it for a while.

2) too many game play issues will remain unresolved until after the release.

How can you say that? Have you played the game? No?

And that thing about weapons/shields being assigned seperately from the main model via a text file is very good news for modders.

Exactly! We haven't played it.....how can anyone say its either the game they expected or not until we've played it.

We'll not know for sure about the changes in game mechanics or setting or time lines or anything until its released.

I'm not being negative, I've never bought a TW title until its been out for a while and there's a good chunk of first hand, impartial, experience.

Abilty to mod easily is excellent news - not that I'm a leader in this

Yet you seem to claim gameplay issues have not been resolved?

what do they mean with "now"? It should be "again", as in MTW1 shields and weapons weren't part of the unit model either.

Looks like a good game, although I hope it won't kill my computer.

Lusted, Unresolved as in unfinalised/unknown.

Its a new game, a complete upgrade. Some of the rumours and information so far given isn't very encouraging BUT we should wait an see.

sensible posts from all of you.
To be honest im looking forward to using a mortar because it is more likely to hit troops more than a wall. however master bombarde and cannon will be the best for buildings

Game Trailers (http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?fs=1&id=2767) offers that massive HD video (approx. 110 MBs) for free as well. Consider as an alternative in case needed. :2thumbsup:

Damn that was impressive!

BTW, what is the unit that can be seen in a shot of the siege towers rolling forward - they look like a bunch of nuns or something.
