AOE 3 Worth Getting?

now if M2TW demo doesnt work due to my 64 mb graphics card with no vertex shaders and no T&L and 2.0 shaders then the full version of M2TW probably wont work I might try getting AOE3.
after playing all the AOE being AOM to me the best one and EXTREMELY fun is AOE 3 worth getting? or should i just get AOM gold? (i borrowed AOM) my friend tells me that AOM is better than AO3.

Being a huge fan of the Age of Empires series (didn't play Age of Mythology though), I would say no against getting Age of Empires III. There was just something about it that was so ...blah... compared to the first two games.

Maybe it was the fact that little new was added gameplay wise, or that the period is just not the greatest one (ancient and medieval are much better than modern in my opinion).

It's still an enjoyable game for many, and I recall playing the demo which was fun initially, but I ended up not buying the game.

That's just me though, try playing the demo and see hoe you like it first.

i thought the campaign was boring and a little stupid... although i did enjoy training the native american units, it has some good parts and then a bit more bad bits... i'd not pay any more than £25 :juggle2: probably less

You should try the demo first, I had trouble running it with my old system which otherwise performed pretty decently (128mb video card).

Since I played the demo of the Addon I decided to at least wait for a gold version.

I've got the game. Had it for about a month now. I love it! My favorite part are the naval battles. I love seeing those ship duke it out. However, if that is what your system is composed of, I can almost guarantee you that AoE III won't work. If it does run on your system, it will probably have all sorts of graphical anomalies.

well since the news of a new M2 demo will be out, im sure the newer demo will work; if it does, ill defintly get M2 than AOE3

AOE III is the worst Rts with the best graphics I have ever played. Mayor turn down. There is short range of units, and boring gameplay. Take down the breath taking graphics and its useless.

I played the demo only, but I thoguht it was really good..Did have some AOE2 stuff in it, but it was good overall with new options and such..
