With a lvl 4 barracks and a type I, II or III government you should be able to recruit them in:

city, province:

Camulosadae, Cassemorg
Ictis, Cornovae

Thats in the south of britain and this is according to the current recruitment guide, for v 0.74.

They should be in Aulercia, which is a single province in northern Gaul, they aren't British.

The Carnute Cingetos are recruited in Cenabum. They are the defenders of the Ogmiotmeriam Odemorix. The recruitment guide must be screwy becuase if your able to recruit them outside of the city with the Ogmioteriam Odemorix then thats a slight problem.:laugh4: The province is west of the capital of the Auedui, the westernost city you start with as the Auedui.

Cenabum is in the territory of Mrogaule. Whilst many tribes inhabited the area (eg. Carnutes, Lexovii, Venelli, Parisii, etc) and the major administrative centre was Cenabum (Carnute Capital), the territory was dominated by the large Aulercia 'nation' / tribe... thus lending their name to the region.

Gamewise, I'm finding my Carnute Cingtos have higher survivability than my Gesatae. I dunno, maybe I'm pitting them against more javelin-armed units. Also, it really slows things down if I have to wait for reinforcements all the way from Cenebum. All-in-all, I love the Carnutes. (Though, there really isn't too much sublety in them, is there?)

No, they are just above average fighters with very high moral and good equipment...that can also inspire fellow troops. Tough little buggars. They were central in the Aedui's war against the Belgae and managed to eject them from Gaul, back across the Seine to the territory they inhabit at the game's beginning.

They should last longer than the G under missile fire.

Their big use I'd figure would be using them similar to British elites. They raise allied morale, and are solid units themselves. Quite useful for making poorer quality units fight longer by raising their morale.

A unit that lasts longer than the gaesatae makes me want to wet my pants, as the Camillan Romani...
