Yes, I'm getting in this thread on the ground floor! I'm particularly excited as I missed the 8-page famous Bartix thread of years past.
So, let me be the first to say, Welcome back, and how may I help you today?

Have you installed any mods/edited files?
It would help if you give us more details.
There is a stickied thread in the apothecary (I think) on this. Read it.
A little more background is needed here. Did you just reinstall MTW? Was it working a couple of months ago, and now it doesn't? Can you play historical battle, just not a campaign? What video card do you have?

Been modding lately? That happens to me a lot. I make a mistake modding and when I go to start up a campaign it CTDs.

Hello Abokasee,
do you perhaps have a new monitor or graphics card?
I found out lately that the resolution of the desktop and the in-game resolutions need to match. Also, in ATI drivers there's a function to "force refreshment rate".
I've had the same problem like you and it turned out that setting a constant refreshment rate and selecting the correct resolution helped.
What kind of Graphics card and Monitor do you have and how are they set?

install patch 1.1, worked for me, i recently re installed MTW, and it kept crashing at the end of turns. i installed patch 1.1 and it works fine now.
Cheers Knoddy
Alot of people have a problem with a crash to desktop as soon as the load bar completes and the campign map should appear. It seems to happen with the Nvidea GeForce cards. With these cards rolling back your video driver usally fixes the problem. I rolled mine back to a version 60.85 driver and that worked. However I would try the patch first and maybe reinstalling the game. The driver should be a last resort because it might cause other programs to go funky. If that isn't your problem then I have just wasted a bunch of space.~:) Good luck.
