An alert system.. my first post.

Hi, all.

first, its a pleasure to stay here. I'm a brazilian Rome lover. :-)

Well, i spent last night reading all posts here about modding, scriptting and others related topics about modify the game. I created a small script, triggered by show-me button, for a simple test.

But, my real objective is create an alert system. Please, could someone help me to find a point to start?

Brief:

I want to create an End of Turn report to alert players about rebels in your lands. For example, if there are two units of rebels in Etruria, the alert system will show a scroll message, as an End of Turn report, telling something as: "Be carefull, there are two rebels units in Etruria at moment." Or the system can show a list of regions and rebels on them.

I do not know if is possible to write by script. I do not know if is possible to verify, by a background script, the presence of a specific unit on specific region. I know that regions has a ID and a name. And units too. But, i do not know if is possible to generate a scroll message, like that messages we see at beginning of the turns. Oh, my God.. so many questions on my mind...

Please, i need only a point to start. Are there any chance to do it? I will try to write, if possible. Well, am i a visionary?

i`m trying to do this, using script, if possible:

I want to verify, at the beginning of the turn, the presence of specific units in local faction controlled regions. For exemple, if there are two barbarians units over Etruria, i want to know.

I`m searching in four RTW foruns for informations about script and modify the game, but the informations are truncated and confused. I`m really lost.

Could someone give me only a one point of start? I do not ask for a solution, and do not ask for someone who can do it for me.. i`m only asking for a point of start...

i know. I am not impatient. I was only trying do clear my intention.

From some articles found here, i found many others... but, as i said, the informations are not organized. It is very hard to create a "Table of Contents", if you understand. I am trying to create a "step-by-step", reading this articles and put the informations in relevance sequence... but, man... it is not easy.
