Where is the best and most reliable place to pre-order this game from? I dont usually pre order so help could be arpreciated:

I have cheacked amazon, they have the game for £25, not sure what that is in dollars sorry and its free delivery to where i live. But i can remeber someone said that amazon started messing them around and he didnt get the game a until few weeks after its release.

So any suggestions or should i go with amazon?

I've ordered mine from game.net, roughly same price as amazon, and thery sometimes send you the game 1-2 days before official release, lets hope they do so with m2 :)

I've only had good experiences with amazon. I like the transparency of their ordering and tracking system, plus the reassurance of dealing with a big company.

How about checking out a local game store, in person not online. I preordered my copy from GameStop around my house. Will pick it up soon as it arrives there without worrying about shipping charges or waiting the excrutiating time between release and delivery.

I preordered from gamestop.com. Evidently, they are including this History Channel documentary about the crusades. I guess it was pretty good from what I've heard. I thought it was a pretty good deal.

I've gone for pre-ordering the collectors edition this time around... I normally just pick games up from the nearest games shop but apparently this edition will not be available from the shops on release.

Once I get enough money for the COllectiors, I order it around the first Week or November (before it comes out), then I'll go get it from my store. While i played MTW2 online, I wait for the other one. Once my COlelctors edition comes in the mail, I get all the contents from the first one I brought from EB games, get my refund, and pay off the Collectors Edition :-)..

Will the normal copy also have a detailed campaign map (like you had in rome total war) or will that only be for the collector's edition?

All this information is freely available on many websites and many threads on many forums, including this one.

The first run of the game will all be special edition (or collectors' edition in europe) which will have the map and some tunes. After the initial run, all games printed will be the standard version without the map or the tunes CD.

All pre-orders should get limited edition, as will the fisrt ones to hit teh shelves in shops, but it's a limited edition and therefore will run out soon enough. It's just to encourage pre-orders really.

Has anybody had some experiences with sendit.com (especially somebody from outside the British Isles)? They are offering the game for 18 GBP/27€ which is really cheap, so I'm thinking about buying it there. I live in Germany though, so I wonder whether it's worth it - the game is sold for something around 50€ here so I'd save like 20€...

I did the same as well. Also got next day delivery. So I should have it in my hands pretty fast. :laugh4:

My wife will not be happy with me that week.

I've preordered from my local EB Games. Alas, that probably means I won't get my hands on the 2nd demo, but at least I don't have to worry about shipping and putting things on the credit card...

I agree, although I did at Gamestop it's the same type of store. I like the fact I can walk in and pick up my game. If there's any issue there's a person to talk to, and it's local.

One christmas I ordered two games from amazon.com (several years ago), they were both weeks late and trying to contact anyone all I got was, the slogan of modern day game developers, it'll be there when it's there. So since then I only deal with a company who I can at least yell at a under paid over worked employee if it dosn't show up :laugh4:

Also I can get a refund and go to another store pretty easily that way.
