Add into your Rome - Total War/preferences folder.

It worked on me.
It diseables the autosave feature.When you end a turn a new autosave file is created.The bug is the autosave.
Simple but works!

I doubt they would release a patch now as they will be supporting MTW2.

I haven't had this issue myself but know other who have but my assumption is that you don't have to put in the whole txt file rather just change the line:

AUTO_SAVE:TRUE

to

AUTO_SAVE:FALSE

I haven't had that particular bug, apparently. I have started having a CTD during the end turn, playing RTR PE, but that didn't solve it. It doesn't happen immediately when I press the end turn button. It waits until one of the AI turns before dropping straight to desktop with no error message. I have no idea what's causing it, but it isn't the auto save.

hmm...thats true.
Maybe we have to create a autosave script or something similar.

GAH!

I have a CTD when I try to save.
It saved it but that gives me a CTD.
