Hey,
What will you do once you get MT2W or like I call it, MTW2??
Play SP?PlayMP? Do PBEM? Start Modding? or just stare at it all day before you do anything,escally if you going to get the collectiors edition (like me :-))??
I first going to do a MP game, then some customs games, then back on MP. if it comes out on the 10th, I won't have time till later to do MP, but if it comes out on the 14th, I would have alot of time then :-).

I plan to get in my recliner and get comfy with the manual. I love reading manuals.
Am going to sit there and stare at the box until it sends telepathic signals to CA to come out with the first patch.

That is what I will do. I would play as the aztecs and see if they could invade Europe, Muhahahahaha. But first read everything on the box on the way home. Maybe some things in the manual.

Second thing I'll probably end up doing is stealing my Brother's PC :wall:
Start a jolly good SP campaign. Wont mod it until I've playe it some time I guess, like to know what vanilla is like. Maybe I'll try some MP, altho I'm a complete n00b at that front. ~;)
Install it, look around all the menus and options start a Campaign on hard as the English and look around all my settlements and new features then RTFM.
Then kill some French people ~D
Poll added. I deliberately kept "play the tutorial" off the list of options, as it is a rather boring option (as would be "read the manual", come to think of it).

I'm gonna start a good old long campaign as England. That will give me some valuable experience with the game and then, when I have finished conquering the world (and Jerusalem), I will start a campaign as the Holy Roman Empire.
After that, ... I will see. :)

I do MP first, then when I get done, read the manual,then do 1 custom game, then back online again.

I'll backup the whole folder and snoop around all the files for a bit, before impatience gets the better of me and I boot it up.
And then I think I shall do a couple of basic custom battles to get a feel for the factions.

Custom battle, thousands of peasants... For tuning the graphics options... (Plus I think the peasants might use the spining long weapon style of animation so I want to have a laugh at all the Kung Fu peasant battles)...
The the tutorial and a short campaign as the English...
Custom battles > Spanish OR HRE Campaign > Multiplayer

Rome had a great manuel ive read it cover to cover sevral times. Long english campagin for me and probbly a custom battle with lots of cannon and muskets!

May be I'll play short campaign... But I'll need to mod the game in order to play with the Byzantine Empire or Sicily.

i was thinking of doing some cutome battles to test the AI in battle just to go in there fight some armies. after that start a campaign with the holy roman empire. one thing i will never do is let the french live they will be first to die! i hate french. i am going to put paris to the torch! ha ha ha ha ha!:2thumbsup: :laugh4: :laugh4: :laugh4: :laugh4: :laugh4: :laugh4:
Start a Easy/Super Easy/Easiest difficulty campaign as the English to find out what's new then quit after a decade or so and start a proper campaign as the HRE on a harder difficultly.

Do a campaign as Venice and rule the world with my evil diplomats and rich coffers.Then go and kill the Papal Faction.Finally, do a custom batte betwwen Aztecs and Muslims in northern Europe during a winters night.
I will play the game untill I win a campaign, Then i will mod it untill I pass out from lack of sleep.
So... nobody join me in a staring contest with the game box?

I'll clone myself, send my clone on a trip to Vegas with my girlfriend and play until my fingers bleed and I pass out from lack of sleep and nourishment...
Probable I'll start a long campaign with the English,but first, I might also play a custom battle or two,three.I haven't yet make up my mind.

I'll probably rediscover all the units, get my bearings w/ the camera and hotkeys again, and see how good the ai really is... then on to multiplayer.

I Voted Custom Battle because I would like to check it out first and see the beuty of the game. But I would have liked to vote long campaign because I dont really count a couple custom battles as first though technically it will be first. Also since I have to upgrade I haven't played the demo yet so when I buy my new computer I will go straight to EB to buy the game. So when I open the box it will be first time really seeing it in action.

hotkeys and stuff seems different, see I proably do 1-2 Custom games before I go on MP,so I can get myself back in shape..
I found the demo hotkeys for run, special ability etc to be the same as Rome.

A battle against the AI. Whenever I install a game, I've only little time left to play it before I have to do something else on the same day. And this gives me the opportunity to both get an inside glimpse of the best units and get a feel for the (revised) controls etc.

Me? I'm going to start a campaign, get bored, and go for the historical battles, after which I will be suitably warmed up to finish a full-scale campaign.

Reading the Maunal is Another. I don't see to many MP votes or "doing to do MP" posts though ;-(.
Install, edit preferences, play custom battle, exit early to turn off stupid green arrows & tweak settings, play another custom battle or two then start up a campaign, quite possibly as the French.
High on the priority would be to mod so I can access other factions, want to see what its like as eg the Roman Empire :balloon2:

Me? Since the game comes on a Tuesday, and I'll be away from home, I'll just have to wait impatiently til I can get back and play my pre-ordered game. But I'll go straight for campaign- I want to be the king, not just a general! :D

Hah. I tried that with R:TW but the box was winning until I figured out to remove the cellophane wrapping.
Actually, that is the first thing I'll do: remove the cellophane wrapper. It's part of the ritual of a new game and there's a certain physical pleasure to be derived from it. Kinky, I know, but there we are...

The first thing that I will do is mod it so I can play with any faction, most likely the Byzantines. But what I usually do is dink around with some faction I wouldn't normally play as for "practice" for awhile then start the real thing.
