hey,
after my complaint about 1-man-armies, one of my friends recommended black hawk down and, to be honest, it wasn't much better than call of duty on single player
however i've been having loads of fun getting killed (and not really killing that much) on multiplayer and was basically wondering if anyone on the .org plays BHD online or has the game, and if so do you wanna go on sometime? it's really fun getting blasted by all these people with strange names and occasionally killing one or two of them (once i even killed 20! :laugh4: )

Maybe you should try Operation Flashpoint or the Rainbow six series, both have excellent multiplayer where one bullet could be the end. Especially rainbow six has a strong emphasis on teamplay, one man army guys don't make it very far.

i'm not complaining about the multiplayer... i just die alot :laugh4:
but i currently am saving up for Pro-Evo 6 and M2TW so i probably won't be getting either of those games... perhaps in the near future, do you play them often on multiplayer?

i don't think that many people play (or at least in my time frame) but the games are very involving and open spaced areas which is great for multiplayer... there are only a few servers and some of which close down quite often but the good ones contain really great games... i was playing with 20 or so other people before i posted this as an example

^What's that?

i made a thread talking about how much i hated it when in some single player games you end up killing about 100000000000 people and i asked what games aren't 1-man-army style gameplay
Aha, ok. I like those kind of games :P as long as my AI comrades killes some as well, hate dragging them around for nothing.

I have gone back to CoD2 (on the PC) for a bit before to the release of CoD3 for the 360 and i am playing it on Veteren...
Now it is admittedly 1 man army in style, but there is a lot of friendlies around to and playing on veteren, while you light kill a lot in the end, but my god does the game make you work hard for it!!!!
The Brothers in Arms series was good at emphasising team work over individual runs...

yea I might get COD2 for chirstmass. Hoping alot of ppl do MP on it. Yea, I heard BHD used to have couple thousand players, dunno about now though, most proably left for BF2,BF2142,RO and COD2 and such..

Hmmm, played a few sessions but the best tactic seemed to be doing a dash of death and melee everyone, coping with the terrible accuracy of the weapons was realistic in single player but in multiplayer it just doesn't work.

It's been some months now, but I used to play BHD and/or Team Sabre online. I really like the sniperrifle there. But a CAR, SAW (can't use 'tri'pod?) or MP5 is good too.

I have to second Operation Flashpoint. The multiplayer community is pretty well organised, there is good co-op between the various clans and, most importantly it's dirt cheap at this stage.
