(You can retry bearing in mind that The Org does not tolerate piracy advice/talk. Although you called this to be legal -yeah we know it can be used to distribute files legally- your examples don't hold the same line. Regards. - LEN)

My understanding has been that the Org does not distinguish between Glenda the Good Witch of the North and Wanda the Wicked Witch of the West. They're all bad, mmm-kay? File sharing, children, file sharing is bad, mmm-kay?

I think his post could be deleted just for lack of spelling, grammar, and overall purpose, nevermind policy violation.

The program itself might be legal. There's nothing illegal about having a bittorrent client or anything like that. However, how you use it is a different thing. I don't think the mere tutorial on a p2p client is worth locking the thread, it would be like locking my thread if I simply mentioned something (anything) about Azureus or uTorrent.

As for spelling and grammar, come on, AtPG, you know damn well there's so many people in the backroom who can't spell worth a damn. In this case, at least he posted helpful information (a tutorial on using a proggie), but most of the illiterate posts in the backroom are little more than spam... no fair criticizing him, but not the others.

All that being said, Murfios, as you're relatively new to the Org, a word of advice, if I may: posting sensitive material, i.e. stuff that is close to the edge of the rules, will usually quickly lead to the thread getting locked and you getting warnings. Staff prefer to err on the safe side.

I personally see nothing wrong with this thread, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if it gets locked. However, I'm not a mod, so my opinion in this matter is irrelevant.

Finally, if I may make an observation: those screenshots are really, really small. It kinda defeats the purpose of the tutorial if you post screenshots that are not readable - should have kept them full-size.

100% legal. :inquisitive: ~

I can't remember much from the backroom that were this bad in composition and content. The spelling of Murfios' post is adding insult to injury - injury being a violation of .Org policy.

(Edit: Quote of deleted post erased)

Posts containing addresses of warez sites or anything piracy-related; note that this includes "hacks" designed to enable Shogun: Total War or Medieval: Total War to run without a CD. The administration is aware of the fact that some use a "no-CD hack" for the perfectly legal purpose of enchancing their system performance, but we feel that the possible illegal benefits from these hacks outweight the legal ones. Anything pertaining to software piracy is in general highly discouraged.
