The new Demo is supposed to include the battle of Otumba.

However, I don't think starting a thread promoting Illegal software is a good idea. This thread should be closed.

Technically Mr. Impaler is not breaking the rules, at least as far as I can see; no links have been posted to the illegal item, and he has not taken a moral stance on the matter (either in favour of or against), he is merely stating a fact.

Also if you read the e-mail people said they got the link to the site(not even counting download time) isn't going out till the 24th which is this coming Tuesday.

I think people get too wound up about ill-legal things, they seem to be on a holy crusade of there own deeming peoples comments as wrong. I dunno lol, seems to be widespread :laugh4:

I ordered from gameplanet.co.nz (local)
email says its only exclusive for 48hrs so given the length of exclusivity of the previous demo, I'd say it should last a good 12hrs max :shrug:

Amazon.co.uk have removed the bit about their distributing a demo to those who pre-order from the Medieval 2 page.
Does this mean that they've changed their minds and aren't distibuting any more, or does it mean that if you haven't pre-ordered by now, you'll get no demo.
Or both, as I haven't seen hide nor hair of this supposed demo and I've had the game preordered for a while now.
Anyone else not had their link?

I don't think alot of us have had their link yet Wilson. I doubt we will get it today. My guess is probably friday or something which will leave me slightly ticked off

A correction. New Zealand people who ordered got the demo on Oct 24, now I think some amazon ppl got it, and some did not. The only group as a whole I know that got it is the people who pre ordered in new zealand.

When will the demo be released to the non preorder public? Probably friday, if it's not already on certain torrent sites. :laugh4:

Ahh, can't trust torrent sites. I tried it the 1st time and the menu just keeps popping up everytime I breath on my mouse.

I'll hold off on the new demo and keep modding the old one. I want to -FEEL- the uniqueness when I first meet them in the campaign. No need to spoil it now with a demo :2thumbsup:

My email came in 4 pm on the 24th (thats 4am on 24th in England, something on the 23rd for those of you in the US).

Some (very rare) times its actually good being on the ass end of the planet :beam:

The demo is unplayable on an Athlon XP!

My computer: 3000+ Athlon XP, 1GB DDR 3200, 6600GT 128MB. I assume, that SSE2 is really mandatory to play lag free.

I turned off all effect and tried on low settings. But the game was unplayable lag.

Agincourt, Pavia, Otumba (against Azteks wtf...) and the tutorial are in the demo. It is possible to mod the demo, because the files are not packed.

I dunno what demo you have but the Otumba demo has much the same directory structure as the SE demo.

How does your PC handle other games? Could just be driver issues?

I don't have driver issues. They are up to date. I can play Battlefield 2, Anno 1701 Demo CoH, no trouble. But this demo isn't playable.

EDIT: But I see nice flowers on the meadow. LOL The focus of CAs M2TW. Very disappointing. ~:shock:
