Is it possible (or has it already been done) to allow rams to attack walls as well as gates?

i'm pretty sure that rams can already attack wooden walls but it would be pretty stupid for them to attack stone ones

yes, rams can attack both walls and gates, but only wooden walls, no stone.

Whilst it might be a bit slow, time is what you have plenty of during a siege. There are heaps of images showing this sort of usage:

The last one is a relief from the ancient Assyrian palace at Nimrud, the capital city, and depicts the destruction of the city of Gazru by Tiglath-pilesar III’s Assyrian army. Notice the powerful battering ram to bring down either a stone wall or a stone tower.
