This forum needs some excitement so badly. After the initial burst of excitement about the music, beta testing, and new preview, it has gone comatose... I think people were expecting 0.8 sooner than later.

Hopefully a bug free version of 0.8 will ignite the forum, or maybe everyone is working themselves up about M2TW. Only time can tell.

I believe its 206.. is there anyway to speed up or cheat through the years... I just hit the Polybian reforms and this is my 2nd Roman campaign id REALLY like to play with Marian units getting sick of fighting Ptolemic super armies with my crappy Polybian units.

"Master of the lightnings, rider on the storm, wearer of a crown of swords, spinner-out of fate. Who thinks he turns the Wheel of Time, may learn the truth too late." - From a fragmentary translation of The Prophecies of the Dragon, attributed to Lord Mangore Kiramin, Sword-bard of Aramaelle and Warder to Caraighan Maconar, into what was then called the vulgar tongue (circa 300 AB).

Don't mind me CrownOfSwords your username always fills my head with prophecies. :crown:

Ahhh Wheel of Time, such a long series (I finished the tenth book today).

Anyway to push this back on topic, the Polybian reforms are put in place at 207 BC.

Sure. I once started a game, downloaded the save game editor from here:

RomeSage (http://www.twcenter.net/downloads/db/?mod=448)

I edited the number of turns played to the turn with the marian reforms minus one. Two turns later I was playing with cohorts. I dont know if they trigger if you edit it past the reforms, with all the script thats in the mod. I havent tried that.

Back up the save before you edit though, it might not work :sweatdrop:
