Who told that bridge battles were unrealystic??? The first one was a typical RTW bridge battle...
For textbook!!
The second one was like a vainilla battle... the rout was pretty quick XD

Well EB gives a preatty accurate description of how Gauls, Brittons, & other barbarians fought. And after reading that description and watchining this, you can see that they are using similar simple tactics, including the Warcry. :idea2: (just take away the shilds, swords, spears, and cavalry)

Man that stuffs pretty cool!~:thumb: In the second one it got really chaotic with the fireworks and flare but it was a pretty realistic depiction of barbarian warfare with a modern twist lol! There was even a runaway car that played the part of a rampaging elephant!:laugh4:

i love to see hooligan movies, just to see how dumb ppl can become because of football...although i know hoolganism is really bad,and i tottally hate it, i love to see the street battles they make..... simply priceless....
i wished they had shields and swords...it would be a lot fun.... like Arverni vs Aedui real style.... ohter than that this fights hold the real aspects of barbaric warfare....no order, and something like all vs all

You do have to register and supply your age at the same time. If you are under 18 then lie about your age on registration and then get your parents to view it for you. If they think it is suitable for you and your age group then you can watch it, if they don't then simply don't watch it.

I suppose a 16 year old might not ask the parents. However I think that they should ask their parents so that they can be protected from un-suitable footage and they can also be protected from their parents anger at finding out that they have been watching unsuitable material. Parents should always view footage first if the child/teenager/young adult in question is under 18.

it has nothing to do with football.
haven't seen the watched the clips, but will do. i always said that the streetbattles remind me of ancient warfare. the best one i saw was in a docu about Millwall hooligans.
a tidy block of police officers, with body armour, helmet, roundshield and armed clubs standing in front of an unorganised load of hooligans hurling abuse and the occasional stone. until a policeman suddenly stretched his arm out and shouted "CHAAAAAAAAARGE!!!!!"
then all the policemen charged into the group of hooligans with their clubs raised. it was priceless :laugh4:

I don't get it, why did they route? They had advantage all the time, and suffered very few casualties... must've had a really crappy morale.
The really impressive battles though are those between hooligans and the police. Police is like a roman legion - armored, disciplined, with commanders who have good grasp of tactics... the only time they lose is when enemy has massive advantage in numbers, or territory (like in a stadium)
Speaking of which, here's a nice video that shows how slow the charging cavalry really is :)

Well..... One thing that bugs me about riot police is that they open thier shield too much when stricking. For pete's sake why don't they hire some Roman Re-anctors to teach them how to fight with a scutum (sp)!!!!
