View Full Version : Game discs too firmly attached to case...

This wasn't a problem a few years ago, but now when I want to take the CD/DVD out of the case the first time I open a game case, the disc is so firmly attached to the case that it feels like I'll break the disc if I apply the necessary force to take out the disc... Anyone else bugged about this? :wall:

Edit: I can't get my Thief 3 disc out of the case!!! I don't dare to proceed!!!! :furious3: :wall: :bomb: ~:mecry:

Any tips for how to soften up the ****** plastic?!! We're talking about the evilest form of case here - the one where you need 5 hands to press several small clips inwards, but when you press them inwards you block the disc from being possible to take up...

To think that something so small can be so powerful!
Finally got the bastard! Mwahaha! Apparently the disc is supposed to look like you break it before it starts to budge...

I've had similar problems with different games, they always come out, eventually :furious3:

I usually just push into the "button" in the middle of the disc- that seems to help sometimes.

I freaking hate that :furious3: .
Usually with DVDs too.
But yeah the "button" is usually the key.

I thought I was the only one experiencing this.

I have a lot of empty CD-cases. If I manage to get a game disc out of it's :furious3: box, I put it in one of those cases.

It's another type than the one with button in the middle. These ones have around 8 very small clips that need to be moved inwards, not down and inwards, which makes it quite tricky.

Anyway - Thief: Deadly Shadows rocks :2thumbsup: , at least so far! Great sneaking into the house in the first mission after the tutorial mission and fun to sneak past the sleeping house owner while he was snoring and talking in his sleep ~:)

I tell you, that kind of box is insane. I don't even like the five clips DVD-style one in the first place. What's wrong with old skool CD cases? The ones where they won't give you a slight heart attack for "Break it, Break it not" feeling when you try to pry out the discs?

Yes, that usually works for me too.

Nonetheless I have had some near misses whilst I was trying to pry my CD's out of their case, as mentioned, this get's exceedingly nerve recking when the case contains more CD's...:wall:
