Any thoughts on what the benfit would be for having more then 1 GB of RAM for M2TW.

i have a AMD X2 3800 with 1GB of 800MhZ DDR2.

I am assuming that as long as you do not have too many other programs running in the background that 1GB will be more then enough as I can't imagine CA has built a game that will use virtual memory if you don't have 2GB...I was just wondering if there would be any benefit to having more then 1 GB.

Well considering a majority of games that I have bought/heard about in the last few years have bad memory leaks, at least til it gets patched a few times. (a secret ploy that hardware companies pay gaming companies). It would'nt hurt. It's all up to you though but it seems memory is getting more an more important. Also Vista may have it's problems now but will probably be tweaked optimally within a year wich requires higher resources.

I went from 1GB to 2GB just last week. Saw (some) improvements in MS Flightsim X and in the IL-2 series of flightsims as well. Don't know about M:TW2, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

I think going from 1GB to 2GB at this point is still a bit of a luxury, whereas going from 512MB to 1GB is a necessity.
