That's not some Knight's Templar in the second pic that's sold his soul to the devil or some other evil miscreant? Looks a bit like one. Templars being evil scum has been done way too much.
On a warmer note: isn't that blood spillage lovely.
He probably sold his soul to Playmobil which would also explain his plastic blood.

Quoted for haha factor.
Seriously though, what the hell?
The blood looks plastic, while everything else is downright disturbing.

Yeah, looks interesting. The plot summary in PCGamer UK sounds fascinating too, with plenty of room for unique enemies and gameplay.
Professorspatula, no, templars aren't the enemy of the game. Plot is something like every certain amount of time a mysterious fortified city appears somewhere, supposedly Jericho. A crack military team is sent to investigate and are confronted by such monstrosities as above; the city is built in rings, with the outer rings containing reasonably recognizably human soldiers from the recent past (WWII, Napoleon), with the centre presumably containg extremely corrupted beings from ages past.

I must be playing the wrong games if Faustian Templars has become trite subject material.

Oh don't worry about plastic blood, the german version won't have any blood whatsoever after all :beam:

I wasn't going to buy that game anyway. I don't really see a need for overly bloody games. I only played a Demo of Quake 4 once to see the graphics, but neither the graphics nor the gameplay or anything else in that game was interesting.
Just my opinion, of course.

Sometimes rediculous amounts of blood can be fun, in a campy friday the 13th kind of way. When I play a horror-game I like to have lots of it, I really want to feel that I am really hurting these foul creatures. What good is a shotgun if you can't blow a massive chunk out of someone and watch him fly back and hold back the intestines he still has left? It's all about mood, in a horror game, plenty of gore enhances the mood.
ps Quake4 happens to suck. Try Painkiller for some great gory give them hell fun :beam:
what? did I actually say that Quake 4 sucks? The first hour sucks, after that fantastic
Will bump this thread up to tell you that the demo is out on PC and the Xbox 360.
It's a very short demo but so very very sweet.
The mood is dark and tense, good graphics and a very cool mini-game.
Someone is stabbing that poor man in the eye in the first pic, how rude.
This game does look promising, I also enjoyed the heck out of Undying.
And Quake 4 was good fun IMO.
Quake 4 was fun. Much more fun than the crapfest that was Doom 3.

Looks awesome....definitely one of those good creepy games that you might have a hard time playing alone late at night....I do so love games like that.

Yup, must have based my opinion on demo, dunno why I wrote that.
