I was playing XL Scottish, Early, Expert; the year was 1108 and I was retraining some Royal Knights. However, it retrained them as Spanish Royal Knights, 100 of them!?! And the unit details for it are Order Foot Soldiers!?!

Note: I'm playing as the Scottish. :inquisitive:

Sounds like a corrupted save game -- I'd be interested to see what happens next though (assuming it's not a CTD, of course :laugh4: )

Very weird, though....

Woah, trippy! ~

Yeah, it's probably a corrupted savegame file. If it's a bug, I've never heard of anything like it before. Of course, there is a first time for everything!

EDIT: Actually, now that I think of it, I do recall a somewhat similar incident from way back when I first started playing MTW. My Spanish army had invaded Navarre, which only had to overcome some spearmen and peasants. No problem, right? Well imagine my surprise when the rebel peasants started firing arrows at my men! :inquisitive:

Now in all likelihood, my experience was just another corrupted save. However, if it is a bug like what you experienced, Rythmic, then it probably happens only very rarely. (At least let's hope so!)

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, brother. Break out the haggis, the whiskey and the women and welcome your Spanish benefactors with open arms! :2thumbsup:

I think it might be because of the change from early to high.

These royal knights were in the retrain que, but Early Royal Knights aren't meant to be trained in the high period, thus the next best thing 100 Spanish knights.

312 Florin support costs = a very poor Scotland.
