I did this one 3 times. Then I realised my musketeers should stand on other places. Also I took the infrantry that was on the right flank ( 2 infrantry platoons) should go to the left flank. To my suprise the enemy at the far just didnt do anything. Lol thus I really really slayed them hard. It was over before my reinforcements could even touch them lol.

I finished the battle before my reinforcements came in. It is soo easy. Just use you cav to kill all the generals from behind and you win lol. Too easy. It is only hard when you don't kill the generals and sit back. I don't know why people think this battle is hard.

I have had a Clear and a Heroic victory (sorry no screen shot)....odd thing is in my heroic victory I took more losses then I did in my clear victory. For sure my statistics were not as good as those in the screen print above... I did however achieve it without taking advantage of the scripting because I just waited for the Aztecs to come at me. I also noticed that Cortez had over 200 kills (not sure if it factors in when your leader gets a bunch of kills).

So I have a question...in past games what determined a heroic victory as my clear victory was stringer then the heroic one?

The Gold demo is better optimised so runs better, plus its just feels much better than the first one, and there are Aztecs.

Ye, but it ran ok on my pc. If it didn't work (like if I had an athlon xp) I would have got Otumba.

Also, I'm really not bothered about Aztecs ;)

i'm going to have to agree thats its not that bad
if ya sit there and wait for them you can lose but if you charge and take the aztecs out 1 by one theres not much they can do and your reinforcements appear right behind their cheif

Man, I just played a crazy round. My cavalry managed to stay alive and I absolutely massacred them. Like 200 of their guys survived in all.
