Dear God, man! Those are dread camels. Who's going to add them into MTW2?
You could mount cannons on those! :2thumbsup:

I'm afraid of Camels. Don't know why... I've always been fidgety around Camels and Llamas, maybe its the whole spitting thing.

:2thumbsup: Greatest thread ever :2thumbsup:Greatest Camel Ever.
I'd like them in MTW2, dammit! We'll see who's boss when those puny Crusaders realize they're facing giant camels the size of elephants!
Imagine riding one of those things!

Isn't that a dromedaris instead of a camel? Or are all such animals called camel even if one species has one lump and the other two?

There ain't no such thing as "a dromedaris". It are all camels. WE are all camels. Even the trees are camels.
Camels, camels, camels! Camels everywhere.

Serious now. In dutch there is a difference between a dromedaris (having one lump) and a kameel (having two lumps). Is there no such difference in the English language?
Sure the Inuit have maybe 50 different words for snow, but why should we Belgians and Dutch have a better lingual system to differentiate (real word?) between a certain sort of animal than the Anglo-Saksons?

I think I also read once about skeletons of ancient elephants (not mamoths) that must have been about twice as high as modern elephants. Fascinating stuff.

Do you call them dromedaries or camels? That big you call them "SIR!"
(P Phil: Yes, English has two words, but we're too lazy to use them both :embarassed: )

I have heard of that heavy duty camel whispering, I am kinda sceptical, you know any cool replay? These smelly beasts route when you sneeze at them, and they pack no real punch.

They scare horses. I prefer my Camels in a soft pack.

So it says, but charge them with even the lightest of cavalry and they break. They only work if horses are pinned down, definatily not a very effective anti cav unit imvho, even militia sergeants chop horses better. I use them because I like to roleplay my games a bit, and the muslim units look so awesome :2thumbsup:

They're cheap, will kill any cavalry and can (just) outrun infantry, have a nice charge and look awesome.
I distrust camels and anyone else who can go a week without a drink. :inquisitive:
