Since those of us in the New World have to wait for Sega to get good enough ports and boats to bring the game over here I thought I would put a post to track in the US who gets the game or news about release dates.
My update is that EB games changed their Pre-release ship date on their web site from 11/14 to 11/13 today (or maybe yesterday)...So I bet it shows up in stores on the 14th (or maybe the 13th if we are lucky)...
Anyone else heard when their store in the US will get it.
Massachusetts here. A local EB store took my pre-payment yesterday and promised the game on the 15th. They still had 14th as the shipment date in their system.

With CA based in the UK, it was always a sore spot with our TW friends in the UK that we in the US got the first shot at the previous TW games. So in a strange way I'm happy for our British TW brothers & sisters getting their moment in the sun dancing across the fields of Europe wreaking havoc before we do. As the first Org patron to get their hands on MTW when it came out, I can understand their glee. We'll get our shot soon enough - but obviously not soon enough! Eh, whatever, you know what I mean. :clown:

Somtimes I regret that I live on an island in the middle of the Atlantic, between the continent of Europe and America, I wish I could say I would get the best of both worlds but my preordered collectors edition hasn´t arrived and the game hasn´t shown up in stores here :shame:

Anyway. Futurshop has 16th as their release date. Also for the first 4 days they'll have $10 off. :jumping: I'm not going to bother with EB. They won't get it till the 20th at the earliest.

Well, The title is self explanatory, I just checked the status of my preorder on gamestop.com, and they changed the shipping date on my order from the 14th to the 13th.

This means I will be able to play the game on Tuesday (overnight) when i wake up. (work third shift, I wake up at the time the mail is delivered.

Well since no one seems to know here is what I say. Go to your local eb/gamestop and ask them the on shelf date. Most likely they'll punch it in there comp.
I agree wit the 14th people. Games in U.S. never ship on weekends just because of delivery schedules. So it seems far more likely Monday it ships, Tues it's in stores.
I am gonna check with my local store, I know a buddy who works at gamestops and they can punch a few buttons and find out the date on shelf. So just go to your local store and ask.

I saw several advertisements in the newspaper for the game being available on the 14th!!!
Best Buy said the 14th and Fry's Electronics said noon on the 14th.
So all of us N. Americans should be able to get the game in stores in 1 day

Yeah, I'm dieing over here. Really didn't think I'd get worked up for this TW installment months back, but the last few weeks I've been salivating.
The EB guy at the store I preordered from told me today that it should be tommorow, and that I'd get an automated call tonight confirming... We'll see!

I just went to the Fred Myers up the way, it is the only place with in 40 miles that sells PC games that I know of, and they said they might have it tomarow as that is when they get the freight. I am in Oregon by the way.
There's about 10 gamestops within 5 miles of me. Called them all and they all said tomorrow. Oh well one more day, these is killing me. MUST>>>> PLAY>>>>>

Here in Boston (massachusetts) the game has arrived at the Gamestop in the Prudential Center. I asked the guy there when it was coming in, and he said they actually have a bunch of copies in the "back room" and have not stocked them yet. Unfortunately I had to turn down his offer to buy one early, since I had no money and was only investigating out of curiosity. I'll probably get it later this week - can't play till Friday anyway.

I just saw that M2TW is being distributed via Steam. So, if you want, you can download it now and play it instantly upon the coming of the 15th. Its only available in North and South America (sorry rest o' the globe). HL2 didn't take me very long to d'l, so I am very seriously considering it. The same list price applies: $49.95.
Just thought I'd let you all know.
EDIT: For those who don't know, Steam is the free distribution and gaming network/system created by Valve for the Half-Life series. It works excellently and I've not had any problems with it. The initial download is fast and easy, and you can get it from http://www.steampowered.com/.
I live in Washington, GameStop says they are going to call me the day before they release the game, but so far no call. And its supposed to come out tommarow, or atleast thats what they told me.

I preordered from Amazon.com, and have been told that my order is experiencing delay and will not be shipped until the 21st... I actually work at an Amazon.com Fullfilment Center, and I know that they don't do this unless something big is wrong. They might not have received the games as planned. I know Amazon pays my bills and gives me damn good health insurance, but they have till tomorrow afternoon. If I dont get an update, I am canceling my order and driving over to EB or maybe even.... shudders.... Wal Mart....
By the way, M2TW looks good enought that it has pulled me from my self imposed exile from the .org. I left over a year ago in shame when a mod I had worked very hard to get going fell apart in shambles, BUT NOW IM BACK BIATCH

I live in Texas, went to gamestop website and typed in my zip code along with the mile radius. 200 mile radius!! And 0s all down the board under "Copies holding" (more than 50 stores on that table). I did this on the 13th. I also went to 2 gamestops and they said it'd come the 14th.

Yeah, my HL2 didn't take too long (2 hours or so...not bad considering). It'd be suicide if you had dial-up, though.

I went to gamestop about 7pm today, placed a preorder. They were getting three copies of limited edition on the 14th (i guess other order of 8 was coming later). I was the third reservation :)

In Tucson AZ, there are five EBs, four Gamestops (now all part of one big dysfunctional retail family) and two "Software Etcs" apparently also part of their kiddy-driven-console-junky empire. There are 3 Bestbuys, 2 Comp USAs, a Fry's and 8 WalMarts. 5 of these outlets are within a mile of my house. I will make a few discrete calls in the morning, and leave work early if neccessary. The EB nearest my house is conveniently near the nearest Starbucks and I have no doubt a strategically placed espresso will hold my game until the afternoon with my favorite fellow caffeine freak there...
The EB online site has updated their system to show the game as now out, but their locater shows "No Results" available when you look for games in stores near you...
Going to bed now so I won't be as burnt out tomorrow... yeah, right! Heh!

Checked my Gamestop order tonight and it was shipped. The UPS tracker has it in Kentucky. And avoiding any terrorist acts, robberies, hurricanes, blizzards, floods, accidents, hippy die in's, hippies in general, or being smitten by god himself. I should have it by tomorrow. Which hopefully it will be delivered while I am not at work so as to avoid it sitting out on my front porch till I get home :ahh: :scared:

Wow seriously 11gb's? Not even oblivion was that big. Heck it's 1/2 the size of it, just wow. That might actually take months to download on dialup.

I am going to get my copy in a few hours...Got a call that said it would be in my local EB games by afternoon (i had pre-ordered it in the store)....I am hoping they mean noon and will have it in 3 hours!!!!!
Unluckily I have to work the rest of the afternoon so I will only be staring at the box....:no:
The gamestop near my said they get all shipments between 1 and 3pm so I guess i'm going to stop by then. Works for me as I've got my New York State real estate license exam at 1:30 so should be just finishing up as it arrives at gamestop. This is gonna be a lonnnnnng (but fun) night.
I expect Steam will not distribute the game in the format it's going to be once installed; they'll probably distribute the installer from the DVD. The DVD is about 6.5 gigs in total size. However, past experience with Steam is that I never seem to get my full bandwidth from them. When I'm updating HL2 and such, it always seems to top out about 100kB/s speed, which is less than a third of what my connection is capable of sustaining. At that speed, it would take 12 hours+ to download.

Arrived in Arkansas this morning. Had to wait in line behind some "Everquest" folks, though.
For anyone on Long Island just stopped by the Gamestop at the source mall in Westbury. They had several copies left. Sitting here with a big grin on my face installing disk one as we speak. Ah I love having only one class on tuesday.

I can confirm that England does not get armored spearmen. They get Billmen instead (Drill square in a level two castle is the prereq)

Well it doesn't say that it went out for delivery, but it's happened before where it gets delivered and then it updates, but I'm sweatin here! I took the entire day off to play this game! I was just gonna go get it from Bestbuy first thing this morning, but then it appeared that gamestop might get it to me by yesterday. By the time I realized my folly, they wouldn't cancel it. -sigh- That's what I get for impatience :shame:
I doubt that anyone has taken time from playing M2, but has anybody looked at the DVD that came with gamestop pre-orders? It looks really good.

Wish I had the time to dedicate to a lengthy campaign right now. Honestly, I feel a little stupid sitting here playing the demo when the retail copy is right in front me me!
My preorder copy at Gamestop (Glendale, CA. Small world favedave) hasn't arrived. The guy said tomorrow. TOMORROW! I have a sinking feeling he's just too lazy to check or something. There is a silver lining however, as I have a huge midterm tomorrow, and there's no way I would have gotten any studying done had I had the game in my hands now.... still though, pretty pissed it's not here.
I hate Gamestop. I called them yesterday to check if it's in, guy tells me he can't check, it's really busy. Can you believe that? Yeesh.

Best Buy in peachtree city ga said they will have it tomorrow with their shipment, so will have to wait until then. Any first impressions yet?

Well, my local (Hadley, Mass) EB store (where I had pre-ordered the game) did not have it. Neither did the local Best Buy store, their employees shrugging shoulders in ignorance.
But, hey... neighboring town's Best Buy store (Ingleside, Mass) had it! So, I'm off to installing the game and getting sleep deprived tonite...
P.S. Interestingly enough, EB headquarters called me twice today, asking about my experience picking up the game... ~:pissed:

Of the 22 stores that should have receievd the game today, actually ONE NOW HAS IT as of 8pm local time, the inexplicably delayed truck for Best Buy near Tucson Mall arrived. I was trolling through availabilities and saw that one light up literally as I was scrolling through the BB stores... When I called they said they did not have it, but whoever was at the computer was apparently checking them in. I raced down there 40 minutes ago just as they put them on the shelf I got there. One guy got it ahead of me, and one woman after. With mine, that took three of the apparently whopping EIGHT they receieved in all of Tucson on release day after 8 pm!
Whoohoo! Time to install. I will come back later when I start drinking espresso!
Well I promised my wife that I would let her buy it for me as a Christmas Present since she never knows what to get me, especially since my golf bag is full of clubs and I don't fish during the winter.
I will need some serious mental help by the time Christmas comes about.

Went into the Gamestop in the Mesquite, Texas Mall (Dallas Metroplex) to pick up the pre-ordered games for the pre-ordered WII system for my son's birthday. Had a copy of MTW2 in my hands - remembered why I was there, placed the game back on the shelf and walked out.
Damn going to have to think of a way to buy the game before Christmas.....
Game is installing now. Gamestop "Limited Edition" version with awesome map and History Channel dvd. Loving life right now. I can't wait to get into it!
Got the last box from the display at BestBuy (same one Proletariat mentioned). Limited Edition, and got a $10 gift card for free as well (something to do with new release promotions). As an added bonus, I got to laugh at the people camping out (no joke, tents and all) in line for PS3s. :laugh4:
Yes agree with those above... Picked mine up at best buy tonight in Burnsville Mn and was quite surprised at being given a $10 gift card at the register! W00t.

East Madison was all out already when I got there, but West Madison still had one which they kindly saved for me. :laugh4:
I ordered my copy from CompUSA website. It's still showing as "coming soon" and isnt even in their warehouse yet.
If I wasn't wanting to keep it on the CompUSA credit card I'd cancel and go pick it up at walmart, bestbuy, target, ebgames, and probably even the mom and pops type grocery stores around town.
3(ish) days after release and they still dont have it available at their primary warehousing site.
