With the release of Eb .8, I though it would be nice of people could remember (and show screenshots) of their best or worse memories from EB .74.

My Worst:
Pyhruss dying in the first battle I had him in
The Makedonian leader dying in his first battle ( really need to start conserving my leaders)
Playing as Pahlav and for 20 years or so and NOT WIN A SINGLE BATTLE (i stink at cavalry).

Edit:Okay, I won SOME battles, but those were battles of rebels: 2 units me: 6-7 units.Sill sad though.

Worst:Getting that last one turned around by the Romans(I was freaking pushed back to Britain by those Damn Romans and Epeiros...

And then the Sweboz Rose again...

Best Moments:
Playing as Epeiros and conquering all of Greece and destroying the Makedons to a small, insignificant city in the middle of the ocean.
Getting a message while playing as Sweboz saying Epeiros was eliminated (apparently that is a rare event).(for more information on my short-lived Sweboz campiagn see Germania-Land of the Sweboz ,an AAR).

Pyhruss dying in the first battle I had him in

Every time I start as Epiros, he dies within two years of the start of the campaign... usually fighting an outnumbered battle...

Great moments:
The 25 year back-and-forth battle of myself (Epiros) vs Getai (In their homelands), Sweboz (Over Pannonia), Carthage (Over Sicily) and Makedon (In Asia Minor)... last time I played... it was still going.

Best moment: Taking back Carthage's original Phoenician homeland from the Egyptians.

Worst moment: When the KH wiped me out completely in my Makedonian campaign.

The greatest moment:

(Playing with general camera)

After 10 years of campaigning in Greece Pyrrhus had seized Pella, brought Macedon to its knees and had a strong alliance with Athens and Sparta. Then he returned to Italy, formed an army out of Epirotes, Italian Greeks and Samnites and continued the war against Rome.

He conquered the two Roman provinces just south of Rome and the road to the Big One was open... Except for a hill just east of the city occupied by a small force of 120 Hastati and 200 skirmishers. He closed in with his 2500 infantry and 200 cavalry (consisting mostly of Pyrrhus' 120 experience level 9 bodyguards). The Greek slingers devastated the Roman skirmishers and Pyrrhus personally chased them down leading his cavalry. Then the Samnites marched forward and threw javelins at the Hastatii, while the cavalry manouvered behind them. Then the two lines prepared to charge the Romans on top of the hill.

Pyrrhus glanced over his shoulder and saw the city of Roma looking helplessly at the hill, where its young men were preparing to fight to the death. Just one word from him and he would send a message to all his enemies. His head turned towards the hill and his voice echoed through the air just as he drew his sword: "CHARGE!" He led his cavalry up the hill and could see his samnite allies emerging from the other side. He focused his mind on the Roman leader, who still had his back to him, ready to die for Rome. As the Samnites clashed with the first ranks of the Hastatii, the cavalry charged the rear.

Pyrrhus had his eyes firmly on the Roman officer. As his horse rode towards his victim, he flung his sword back to gain momentum for the first and final blow. The officer however heard the thunder behind him and quickly spun around to deliver a hasty thrust with his sword, before getting trampled by the charging horse. The horse continued to the top of the hill before coming to a complete halt. As the officer struggled to rise from the grass, Pyrrhus slowly turned his horse towards him. The king of Epirus, Macedon and the rightful heir of Alexander looked at this lowly Roman... and behind him he saw the city of Roma, staring silently back at him. Everything was silent... Pyrrhus looked down on his left side where the roman sword had entered, just below the rib cage. The wound was serious as he could feel his own blood pouring down his leg. He looked up again at the officer and then at Roma. A slight smile came to his face, as he thought of his fate: "What a weird sense of humour the gods have..." He knew his kingdom wouldn't survive his death, but that was no longer his problem. He closed his eyes before letting his body drift gently to the side and fall to the ground. The battle was over. He had won.

Best Moments:
-Beating Romans in H/H with Aedui
-Beating Elite Potlemoi (sp) army with KH in VH/VH and being ustopable.

:wall: moments:
-Exteminating the population of cities 2X and having them rebel agian.
-Having built all types of hapiness builidings, full garrison and the settlement still wants to rebel.
-Super expirienced AI spies inside my cities.
-Just beat Carthege with the Aedui, and now the Potlemoi want to fight for without me doing anything.
-And neither the Seleunids (sp) nor Baktria want to ally with me.
-Beating the Seluenids time after time, taking 1/2 thier empire, and still they won't make a ceasefire.
-Thorokitai and theuroperoi get tire too fast and recuperate too slowly.
-Realising that Aedui/Arnerny and Roman reforms with take hrs and hrs of game play before comming true.
-Romans won't have Lorica Segmentata because EB doesn't span to the time when it became mainstream in the Roman army.
-NO SPARTANS!!!!
-KH hopilies don't have pikesn like the successors (minor :wall:)
-Taking some settlements building type 2 gov't and not being able to recruit anything, but spies, assasins, and diplomants!

-NOT HAVING ENOUGHT TIME TO PLAY EB:embarassed: :embarassed: !!!!!

that about wraps it up.

The bloody campaign where I fought the KH to a standstill as Hayasdan. There was one battle (2K of mine, about 50% low quality infantry mercs vs. 4K Elite mixed Greeks) which resulted in about two hundred of my men living to the end.

Best: that moment when the Ptolemaioi agreed to become my Protectorate after only a few battles against them in my AS campaign...
Worst: that pirate fleet that just kept on destroying my triremes, and disabling me to move my diplomat that was stuck on Rhodes, also in my AS campaign...
