How do you get the game started?

I recently bought the game and did the full install. My computer meets all the requirement and I have directX 7. I am using disc #1, like I am supposed too.

This is my problem. I double click the Shogun Icon, and the menu comes up that says, "play game, install game, uninstall game, ect..."

I click on play game, and I here the disc running and everything. I even get a little shogun screen up, but then everything just kind of shuts down and I am back at my windows screen.

I have tried to start the game from teh disc, my windows icon, and from inside my shogun file. Nothing works though.

Does anyone have any idea of what is wrong? Or what I am doing wrong? Thx in advance.

I don't have an answer, but I know where you can get one. First, check in the Tech Support threads (you may have to hunt) but this is a common problem (it has to do, I believe, with what graphics card/driver you're running). If you can't find anything that helps, Erado-san is the Tech Daimyo and he has ALL the answers. He'll be more than happy to help. He'll need your system specs (processor, RAM, graphics card, etc.) so he can see what the problem is.
