Windows Media Player

After installing Rome TW my Media player went south. I reinstalled it several times. I downloaded some codecs from the Net (I wish I could remember its brand) to try to patch it up, but had no luck.
Anyone have any suggestions?

When you say you reinstalled "it" several times, do you mean RTW or Media Player? A few people have had Media Player just go tits up for no apparent reason, with a new install, patch or expansion of RTW. Reinstalling Media Player has solved that issue for most of us.
