Bypass locked factions?

Hello Forumites,

Has anyone figured out how to bypass that wonderful 'feature' of only being able to play 5 factions yet?

I wanna jump straight into a Byzantine game!:charge:

Good on yer, lancelot, and who wouldn't? as far as I know, if you look in one of the preferences files (not sure which one, but check TWC) there's a line saying something like: factions_unlocked:false - change this to - true.
Not got the game installed at the mo, so cant check this exactly...

I'd heard about adding the "unlock_campaign" line to the .cfg file, but I couldn't find the specifics last night when I installed. I did it the old way, just moved the various factions from the "unlockable" category into the "playable" category in the desc_strat.txt file. In the default installation, it's located here:
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
