Need help with crusade :(

It might sound silly but i do not know HOW TO JOIN A CRUSADE :(
since i started playing total war with rome, so i never played medieaval so i really have no idea?
PLS HELP IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY ;)

i tried and captured the town of the crusade but that only cancelled it :(
i tried placing my army near rome and to wait for others to show up but nothing...

Read your manual. You need at least 8 units in an army and then, if you have a crusade mission, there is a "join crusade" button at the bottom which you can press. If that crusading army takes the target city, the crusade will end successfully.

You need to right click on the leader of an army stack (there is a minimum of units - 5 I think), and on his character screen there will be a button to get him and his troops to join a crusade.

Beware you aren't too far away from the objective though, troops desrt pretty quickly.

Btw, forget it if you are excommunicated by Mr. Pope...."God says no!" as Monster Magnet would put it.....as HRE I am xcommunicated most of the time...but already killed the Pope once...that is my sort of crusade placebo.
