The default skin (MTW currently) does not have the Search option in the menu bar. You can only search using the Google search, which isn't as convenient. I noticed the difference when a poster complained about not seeing a search button.

It shows up for me. Was the poster logged in when they checked? You do not get to search if you aren't logged in.
