No AI players in custom lan battles????

Am I right? Is there no way to make AI armies on a custom lan battle? 2(human) vs 3(AI) was one of my favorite RTW features!!! Please tell me I'm being a n00B and theres and easy solution.

Still checking, I can't see any button that allows me to add a cpu player, but I've come across people on the forums who say they have practiced various formations in custom mode so it must be possible.

Oh yeah I erm..... lost my manual......
