Frustrated

Hi - This is my first post here and my first attempt at playing Medieval Total War 2. Unfortunately my soldiers run round and round in circles and not where i want them to go.
This is really silly - I`m sure I must be doing something wrong but I have no idea what.
I select units with CTRL X an initial, and when I right click, the green arrows go up and down to show my selection choice and then my merry men go running in the opposite direction.
It`s really difficult to win battles with this problem so any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forums. Have you played any of the other totalwar titles?

I had just started Total War 1 when this later version came out. i had no problems with the controls on that one.

What do you mean by Total War 1. Do you mean Shogun?

Shogun Totalwar Mongol Invasion (MI)
These got bundled into Shogun Totalwar Warlords Edition (WE)

Medieval Totalwar (MTW)
Medieval Totalwar Viking Invasion (VI)
These got bundled into Medieval Battle Collection.

Rome Totalwar (RTW)
Rome Totalwar Barbarian Invasion (BI)
Rome Totalwar Alexander (Alex)

All STW, MTW & RTW titles got bundled into Totalwar eras.
